| THUNDER is one of the line of famous rugged Delta Marine fiberglass Alaskan King Crab Vessels. These boats work in extremely harsh conditions in the winter months. Built on this commercial hull, THUNDER has all the amenities of a major motor yacht, the range of an exploration yacht and the sea keeping ability and comfort of a research vessel.
With a comprehensive top to bottom, inside and out multi-million dollar refit in 2004/2005 at Hinkley Boat Works in Newport, Rhode Island, literally everything aboard THUNDER is now new or totally serviced and/or re-built. From her state-of-the-art bridge to her decorated coordinated interior, THUNDER is ready for everything from a high latitude passage to anchoring off a CaribbeanIsland for water sports and everything in between. Mast has been rewired repainted and rebuilt. It can be disassembled and is hinged in order to pull down to go under bridges or shed for winterizing. Clearance is 24' with Mast down and 42' with Mast up. Bulbous Bow that can be filled with water for trim with the overall benefit being fuel economy and added waterline.
